Do lash extensions damage my natural lashes?

Here at Adore Lashes by Minna we guarantee 100% damage free lash extensions and applications. Although it is important for you as a client to make sure you are looking after your lash extensions in a proper manner, as poor aftercare can cause lash damage and issues. We will provide you the proper aftercare products and information with your first appointment to ensure that you are informed and prepared to look after your new lashes.

Can I wear mascara with my lash extensions?
We highly recommend not to wear any mascara with your lash extensions. Mascara (especially waterproof) will get stuck on your lash extensions and your lash line, increasing a risk to get an infection such as blepharitis. It also can ruin your lash extensions by causing them to fall off quicker. If you must wear mascara on your bottom lashes, you can but make sure to cleanse your lashes with a proper foam lash cleanser designed for lash extensions afterwards.

Does getting lash extensions hurt?

Lash extension appointments should be pain free. If at any time you are experiencing anything that makes you feel uncomfortable please make sure to let our lash artists know.

Does having lash extensions hurt?

Having lash extensions on should be pain free. Once they start to grow out, the outgrown lashes might start twisting and turning which can cause discomfort. This is why it is important to either book infill appointments for maintenance or come for a lash removal.

How do I make a booking?

On the menu bar click "Book an Appointment" which will take you to our booking system. If there are any issues please feel free to contact us.

How often should I cleanse my lash extensions?

It is recommended to cleanse your lash extensions with a foam cleanser designed for lashes every day. If you are a make up wearer, we would recommend doing it twice a day. Even if you don't wear make up, your skin has natural oils and any dirt, dust, dead skin cells, debris etc. will get stuck on your lash line and can cause infections and irritation overtime.

How much do you charge for lash services?

All our pricing can be found from either behind the link "Our Services" or from the booking system.

Can I bring a friend with me to my appointment?

At this stage unfortunately we can't accommodate any extra people. We are a home salon and at this stage there are no extra seats or waiting areas. 

​

Can I get my lash extensions wet after the appointment?

Yes you can. Once you have left our salon the adhesive has already been cured and you are able to wash your lash extensions. We recommend to avoid any excess humidity such as sauna for the first day, or swimming in the pool. 90% of the adhesive will be cured by the time the lash appointment has ended, but the rest 10% is still hardening and creating a strong bond to keep your lash extensions attached.

How long will my lash extensions last?

It varies between every individual. It depends how quick your lash growth cycle is, how you are looking after your lashes, how many natural lashes you have, and so on. Majority of our clients are booking infills every 3 weeks and coming back with amazing retention.

Why do I need to book an infill?

As per our natural lash growth cycle, we shed 1-5 natural lashes each day. This can be anywhere from 7-35 lashes each week. To maintain the full fluffy look it is important to book your infills for lash extensions as overtime you will lose all the lash extensions. This has nothing to do with damage, it is nothing that should not happen, it is our natural lash cycle that we don't pay that much attention when we don't have lash extensions on.

Lash Lift FAQ

Can I get my lashes wet after getting a lash lift?

Yes you can. We do recommend you should wait at least 4 hours before getting them wet. If you need to get them wet before that 4 hour time limit, make sure you are applying aftercare serum on them.

How long will my lash lift last?

Depending how you are looking after your lashes afterwards, a lash lift can last up to 8 weeks. 

​

Does getting a lash lift hurt?

A lash lift appointment should be pain free. If you experience any kind of discomfort during the appointment please let your lash artist know.
